  1. Downloaded, get .exe, but clicking does not do anything. Dave Hinson
  2. What, exactly causes and aircraft to Not Be "Identified" during Model Scan - for example none of my PMDG aircraft are Identified ? Does there need to be some line in the aircraft.cfg that allows it to be identified ?
  3. Problem has been solved. I rebuilt the fsx.cfg file and played with it to be sure AI Aircraft were included. Now just to figure out (where all this problem started) why I have so many "unidentified" aircraft with vPilot. Thanks for looking and questioning what the problem was. Dave Hinson
  4. Can't seem to find ANY default model to works from my AIAircraft folder. I copied the model name from the 'title=" line from several AIAircraft .cfg files. Did I do this right ? I have been using vPilot for several years now, and have not had a problem until I had to delete my fsx.cfg file and have it regenerated to solve another vPilot problem trying to make more of these aircraft "identified" Don't know if that had anything to do with it. I had a valid Default Aircraft from one of these AIAirplanes with no problems before. I uninstalled vPilot and reinstalled, but still same problem A
  5. Thanks, Ross. I changed the BAE146-100 Aircraft Code to B461 and it worked. As to my second question, if I have a problem with the codes being something funny or , can I change them to a (legimate) code that works ? Dave Hinson
  6. I am attempting to reduce the number of default aircraft I see at airports. I know there are several reasons for this: 1) Crazy callsigns 2) Unknown Type Code or Airline Code in aircraft.cfg. Is there anything else that could cause this problem ? Can I get a copy of "allowed" Type Codes and Airline Codes that vPilot will recognize ? I have seen examples of (particularly) OK Airline Codes (3 letters) that seem to cause a problem: Example : WoA_FM_Bae146-100 has OK Type code (BA46) and Airline Code of "CNO" and is unidentified, while -200 and -300 models have same Type Code as -
  7. Well, finally found the problem with vPilot not recognizing simobject\AIPlanes --- something (SODE) had snuck a another directory with numbers 6 and 7, therefore screwing up my fsx.cfg regarding directories. Dave
  8. I only have one aircraft in the folder - I was just checking if it would find this aircraft. Could not attach the screenie. Dave
  9. Forgot to mention - when I do a scan for aircraft, Model Matching\Advanced does not show ...SimObjects\AIPlanes as a directory to scan. How can I enter ..SimObjects\AIPlanes so vPilot will scan it ? Also, when the scan shows "2132 models found, 1145 identifies", what does this mean ? Are unidentified aircraft not used in vPilot ? Dave Hinson
  10. Still trying to learn vPilot Model Matching. I have AI Aircraft in a folder ...Simobjects\AIPlanes and the following in my FSX-SE config file: [Main] User Objects=Airplane,GroundVehicles,Boats,AIPlanes SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\Airplanes SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\Rotorcraft SimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehicles SimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\Boats SimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\Animals SimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\Misc SimObjectPaths.6=SimObjects\AIPlanes but vPilot does not find aircraft in AIPlanes folder. What am I doing wrong ? Dave Hinson
  11. Thanks - found it. What do you use to edit .xml files ? Dave
  12. Is there any way to get rid of all the previously used callsigns (old, mistakes, etc.) when connecting ? Is there a file location for these entries that I can empty ? Dave Hinson
  13. Thanks, all, for the quick responses. Yes, I have prefiled from SimBrief, but I thought I wanted to see the flight plan in vPilot (it does not show up in vPilot, I don't think. I'm new to vPilot, but find it easier than SquawkBox). I just though maybe the SquawkBox download would work , but haven't tried it. Dave
  14. How do you download a flight plan from SimBrief for use in vPilot ? Dave Hinson
