  1. I left 3 years ago and have never looked back. My advice: Stay Away. If you really want to fly in Canada join Porter, Virtual Westjet, the vCAF or the canadian virual.
  2. http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Gamer_Xtreme_2200/ looks great
  3. How much are you prepared to spend? I can put together a list for you if you tell me that.
  4. Here's the solution. http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=249211&view=findpost&p=1605209
  5. My advice to you is to make sure you get a nice cooler and overclock your i7 I second John's reccomendation for Windows 7 Also, Get 6 GB of RAM instead of 3 Running FSX with almost all settings maxed. Only thing I had to turn off was the car traffic, and airline and GA traffic since I always fly online. REX is easy to run maxed out even without overclocking. The clouds seem to have little to no impact on FPS I just did a quick flight around the New York Area in the PMDG 747 from the VC. I have Imaginesim KLGA,FSDT JFK, and Aerosoft Manhattan active. I departed JFK and flew aroun
  6. A laptop really isn't a great idea for FSX.
  7. It won't really do much. I have my cpu at a 50% overclock and yes it may last 5 years instead of the manufacturer's spec of 15 but I'll probably get a new CPU in 3 yrs anyway.
  8. I've just raised the money for an Intel X25-M SSD. I'd like to move my FSX installation onto the SSD. It's about 60 GB so it should fit nicely. Can I just copy all the files onto the SSD and edit the registry? Also, can I move my OS onto the SSD? I've got Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit if it helps.
  9. Try cyberpower PC. They have good machines For 1500 you should be able to run FSX with near everything maxed.
  10. Get 3 or 6. I run 6 comfortably. 12 is overkill.
  11. Here it is. Read the guide I link. It's extremely useful for getting FSX running. Taken from http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=29041
  12. Ya I guess I wasn't the only one who thought of that today. I've got REX GEX ASX UTX and I was wondering. Have you maxed car traffic. I run max sliders everywhere except cars airline and GA traffic since I fly online. Tell me how your FPS are after you install your addons. The trick to no stutters is when your in a performance intensive area (NYC,London) set your FPS lock to unlimited for best FPS. When you're in a area with high FPS (Above transition alt or anywhere that your FPS are high lock it to the refresh rate of your monitor. It's quite simple.I'll try to find the FSX tun
