  8. Thanks Jono! As most of you are aware VATSTAT.com has recently implemented some new features and now a new logo. Finding ourselves with a truckload of free time, we decided to make another movie. Looking back on our previous movies, despite the incredibly awesome music and sweet, smooth baritone voice of the narrator, we thought it was time to look away from the boring "here's how cool we are" video and move more towards something appealing to the young generation of today. This is the result. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRcf8r3nS9M But thats not all! In prelude to our official expansion into the greater Oceanic region, VATSTAT has implemented BETA filters for the following countries: Fiji & Tonga Papua New Guinea Solomon Islands The extent to which we will cover Oceania in terms of the number of countries is still being decided on. If you have any preference or ideas as to which countries you'd like to see implemented, please indicate that on this thread or via a support ticket at http://www.vatstat.com/support. To have a look at these new filters, simply go to http://www.vatstat.com and click on the respective flags below our logo. We thank VATPAC & VATNZ for their continued support. Cheers, Chenky
  9. Hello all! For those who don't know me, my name is Joshua Minchenko, founder and lead developer of a VATSIM pilot utility called VATSTAT. VATSTAT (VATSIM Statistics) until now has been used excusively in Australia, simulating an airport terminal flight board providing up to the minute information on flight status and estimated arrival times. Over the months we've been adding several features suggested by the VATPAC community. Some of these include operator recognisation, more detailed flight information, an ATC board which displays any and all ATC positions online in Australia and a brand new Support Ticket Centre. One of our most important features is myStat. You can now register and login to VATSTAT and customise your flight boards to display only the flights you want to see. Filters can be created for a range of flights, allowing you to display flights with restrictions on callsign, remarks, route and more. The myStat boards cater to all flights with a flight plan, anywhere in the world and now come with an expand feature to show even more information. As I said, until now this has been a tool exclusive to flights in Australia with a view to expand to countries as popularity increases. Over the last week we have been working hard on VATSTAT and today we are pleased to announce our official expansion into New Zealand! From the home page, simply click on the NZ flag at the top of the page to view flights in NZ. This expansion of course includes ATC as well and by going to the ATC link and then clicking on the NZ flag you can see any and all ATC online in NZ. To check out these features and more, head over to http://www.vatstat.com myStat is accessable by clicking login from that page or direct via http://mystat.vatstat.com We also have some promo vids on YouTube that further explain these features: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=At2Y2jjWb5E http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfSwGjYbEFA Suggestions, questions and comments are always welcome - have a look at the FAQ first (http://www.vatstat.com/index.php?q=help). A link to our Support Ticket Centre (used for contacting our support staff) is at the bottom of that page. Cheers, Joshua Minchenko
  10. In line with our schedule of new features, VATSTAT is proud to present our new updates. ATC Board We got many requests to make a flight board for ATC, so we've now created an ATC Board. This shows all online Air Traffic Controllers in Australia. myStat This is our coolest feature yet. You can now register and login to VATSTAT and customise your flight boards to display only the flights you want to see! Support Ticket Centre We've now implemented a more advanced and efficient support system. If you cannot find the answer to a question in our help section you can follow the links to open a new Support Ticket to aquire [Mod - Happy Thoughts]istance from one of our trained support staff. To see these awesome new features and more, go to http://www.vatstat.com We've also created a new promo video to explain these features in greater detail: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfSwGjYbEFA With these new systems being slightly complicated, there are bound to be bugs and quirks. If you see something amiss, give us a shout via a support ticket. Comments and suggestions are, as always, quite welcome via the same method. Cheers, Chenky
  11. Thanks, Johnathon. We've got many more exciting additions to VATSTAT in the coming months. For now, we've released a promotional video, giving a quick introduction to the flight boards. It's available to watch now on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=At2Y2jjWb5E
  12. VATSTAT has exceeded all our expectations with hundreds of people viewing their flight information everyday, in countries as close as New Zealand and as far away as Israel and Russia. We thank the VATSIM and especially the VATPAC community for their continued advise, suggestions and support as we strive to make VATSTAT the best it can be. In this light we have implemented several new features to the flight board: VA Filter A popular new feature is the VA filter. The main flight board shows all the online flights in Australia with an active flight plan, but the VA filter allows you filter out all other flights, showing only those from your VA. For more information on having your VA added to the filter, see http://www.vatstat.com/?q=help Flight Details You can now click a flight's callsign from any VATSTAT flight board and view further detailed information including the operator, flight status, captain information, aircraft details, groundspeeds, altitude, planned fuel, current position on a live map, up-to-date destination/departure weather information and more. Higher Accuracy New algorithms have been implemented to provide more accurate estimated arrival times. Operator Recognistion VATSTAT can now recognise many world-wide airline operators. Main flight boards display their logo and the logo and name can also be seen on any Flight Details page. Most major Australia operators have been added to the database as well as many international operators with more added every day. Again, a big thanks to the community for their continued support. Don't forget to keep the tips and suggestions coming to [email protected]
  13. I am please announce the official opening on VATSTAT - The VATSIM Online Terminal Scheduler for the Australia area. VATSTAT simulates an airport terminal flight board, providing up to the minute information on flight status and estimated arrival times. This information is correct to within 2-4 minutes. To check the status of your flight, go to http://www.vatstat.com Suggestions and questions are welcome, simply go to http://www.vatstat.com and click on Contact Us at the bottom of the page. Special thanks to Torin Gleig, Jake Saw, Nick Togias and Andrew Harle for their [Mod - Happy Thoughts]istance in testing and proving the site and to Ross Carlson from VATSIM for his help and advise during VATSTAT's development.
