  1. Update to the lost audio problem. Working NY CTR the frequency set in the VSCS panel is 125.320. AFV sets this frequency and audio works no problem. On occasion I have lost audio, pilots can hear me but I’m not hearing them. Checking the frequency on AFV it set to 125.325 🤔 Restarting AFV frequency is back to 125.320 and all audio working normally.
  2. Sorry Ross, I was not keeping up with the flurry of updates. One day all my apps that use the data feed stopped working. I did not see an update for vatSpy. Thank you for being ahead of the curve. Updated and working now...
  3. This also has been a recurring problem for me, however I was never able to capture any error logs. Shutting down and restarting AFV did not solve the problem only a reboot of the system. Now that Gary has stepped down, what is the future of AFV updates and development?
  4. Thanks for that, things are moving too fast and I am not finding all the announcements.
  5. So with the latest data feed updates does vatSpy have an update?
  6. As the late Michael Jackson once sang, "I always feel like, somebody is watching me."
  7. This is something I have not seen. An observer is tagged as blue is the observer list.
  8. Recurring issue, using AFV stand alone with vERAM, receive audio just stops. I am unware of the issue until to try to call an aircraft and there is no response. Typical VATSIM I suspect that the pilot is not paying attention so I call him again. Finally when someone responds via text saying, "we can hear you" that is when I know I have the problem. Clicking on AFV I get a crash error report and I close it (sorry forgot to get a screen shot, will provide next time it happens). Restarting AFV, no joy. I have to reboot my computer, then AFV works normally. Anyone else have this problem?
  9. Thanks for increasing the zoom, really helps in Top Down Mode. Now I can see the cracks in the runway.
  10. I do not fly online that often and very rarely in oceanic airspace but this past Friday (12.18.20) I thought I would make the long haul from KSFO to PHNL. I was handed off from Oakland Center to San Francisco Radio told to check crossing BAART. I contacted SFO radio via text and was quickly told not to submit position reports, to log with CPDLC. Checking the Pacific Oceanic (if that is the right one) website https://pacificoceanic.vatsim.net/, no guide for pilots on oceanic procedures, also looks like it has not been updated in a while. I do not have CPDLC in my aircraft and unable to find
  11. Setting up a new computer is a bear when you expect everything to work exactly like the old machine, no joy After running the VRC install Windows 10 does not like the VRC Terminal font. I found it relabeled as ACSE Terminal. This is what a fix and VOR looks like in VRC https://prnt.sc/r655h8
  12. I do not recall but the patch from Microsoft did work.
  13. Lightshot doing strange things with screen captures. Try this https://prnt.sc/r3nmqy Bottom line both errors where gone after I installed the Microsoft update.
  14. The solution -- DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer From the Microsoft website: The Microsoft DirectX® End-User Runtime installs a number of runtime libraries from the legacy DirectX SDK for some games that use D3DX9, D3DX10, D3DX11, XAudio 2.7, XInput 1.3, XACT, and/or Managed DirectX 1.1. Note that this package does not modify the DirectX Runtime installed on your Windows OS in any way.
  15. Tally Ho! Not ten minutes after my previous post I found the solution -- DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer From the Microsoft website: The Microsoft DirectX® End-User Runtime installs a number of runtime libraries from the legacy DirectX SDK for some games that use D3DX9, D3DX10, D3DX11, XAudio 2.7, XInput 1.3, XACT, and/or Managed DirectX 1.1.
