  1. Email either VATASIA1 or VATASIA2 requesting permission. Normally if you are a controller wtih good record, there should be no reason as to why they would stop more online presence in their region. Arjun
  2. Was on the same frequency when this happened!!! Certainly brought up a laugh
  3. "[callsign], resume own navigation, position 3000nm south west of Singapore, track direct to Singapore, flight planned route" (or one of the cities around singapore). What else but a GPS Direct flight plan Some really good quotes on here. Love the Dhruv Kalra comparison with "FAA and i'm here to help"
  4. Highly Recommend VOZ scenery as Phillip said. It has scenery for all of Australia and downloading and installing it will mean you don't need any others for Australia. You can also individually download scenery for Sydney only.
  5. Cmon Guys, Theres a clear line between online "simulation" and real world procedures. There are some things we do, some things we can't. Our main bottom line is for us all to have fun. If the realism aspect ruins the fun of others while not making anyone else have ANY extra fun, then is it really necessary? In this situation, FTW CTR and the Pilot looses fun simply because we simulate something online that improves our experience/fun factor in no way what so ever. If someone flies GPS Direct from KJFK - KLAX, does it really matter? Is it goign to affect the controllers? The pilot
  6. There are two programs in here (http://www.avsimrus.com/f/for-flight-controllers-20/) called af2sct and sctdraw that looks interesting. I haven't tested them yet but it certainly seems like it does what is asked. I also use the Google KML with that file (KZNY one) mentioned a few posts ago to turn it into .sct format
  7. Ah damn sorry should've checked it before. I think i know what feature ou're talking about. Disregard my last post and i'll do that configuration. Arjun

  9. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYY!!!!!!!!!! GOO DEEPAN!!! Deepan FTW!!! Deepan Deepan Deepan !! (Encore Encore) Good work Deepan, this position is well deserved following your high amounts of contribution and efforts to our Virtual Flying Experience Arjun
  10. Go to Settings ---> General ---> Button Bar ---> and enable "Show Reminders Button" button and then click ok. That shoudl bring it up. If you can see your callsign but not the clock, check that your computers time and timezone is set correctly. Arjun
  11. Probably a newer tower controller thinking you go to the eastern runway for an eastbound departure. You should've gotten a Kampi1 of 16R or a Richmond 2 Radar off 34L or a sydney 3. Now you know for next time . 16L/34R is only used by heavies if an aircraft is broken down on 16R/34L. Theres a video on youtube somewhere of a 747 taking off on 34R but its not usual. Arjun
  12. Hi All, I know totally nothing at all when it comes to computer Hardware so i was just wondering if i could please get some help from this forums. I currently have XP 32 bit and after researching, i realised that it can take up to 3GB or RAM. I currently have 2GB and i realised that i could get that extra bit of RAM to increase my performance. I just have a few questions. Firstly, in Pic 1, it says DDR2 800. I'm sure thats the Type of RAM (correct me if i'm wrong). The Pink/Orange slots is where i put in the new RAM correct?? also, it says DDR_1 and DDR_2 up to DDR_4. Slots 1
  13. Theres a Coffs Harbour Flight sim Group that is probably the closest one to Brisbane. You may get a better response in the VATPAC forums (www.vatpac.org/forums)
  14. Hiya Mitch, YOu'll get more of an itnerest on the VATPAC website www.vatpac.org/forums cheers Arjun
  15. Hi All, Due to Trent's late night flying, i'm going to join him tomorrow on his YWKS - YMHB. That means i'll be joining him at YWKS so if anyone is looking for a shorter hop, i'll be doing a YMHB - YWKS Monday morning starting around 0600Z - 0630Z. Then we join him back to YMHB on the Tuesday. If anyone wants to join me to join trent, feel free to come on in. Enjoy Arjun p.s. Search for a VH-NOS
  16. Ray, Download Hamachi. Get your student to download Hamachi. It will give you a separate IP address on there. Tell your student to put that IP address into the VRC's Myservers.txt. Then start up your simulator on Euroscope (you may have to port forward 6809 but you may no need to). Tell the student to connect to your Euroscope simulation by simply connecting to you via your hamachi IP address. You can download hamachi for free from the log me in website. Google it. Arjun
  17. Unknown Direction of Winds - Heavy Winds - Thunderstorms - Rain - Low visibility - Low cloud base. Looks like the PERFECT recipe for another of VATPAC's Wild Weather Wednesday's. Fly into Broome (YBRM) from any of the close / far locations. Check out the Tarmac Damage done at worldflight at YPLM YPPH and YPDN then fly into the crazy russia - like weather at Broome. 10 points for everyone that has an approach speed for 110kts + and can land first go Maybe fly in Vfr and change to SVfr due to bad weather conditions. The possibilities are endless........ ATC Required ML-PI
  18. Brendan, For the vatpac forums, try another web browser like google chrome and it may work. Answers for VATPAC region are better on there. You click on the comms. Right click on a atc position and click request atis. It'll be something like following rw1.vatpac.org/SY_TWR Channel Name is whatever you want Frequency is what it says, e.g. 120.050 Voice Server: rw1.vatpac.org Voice Channel: SY_TWR The rw1.vatpac.org voice server is having some issues so it may not work. Arjun
  19. Hi All, Wasn't expecting such quick replies in the "computer Hardware Help" Forums. Thanks guys. Much appreciated. Its the first time its happened to me in the 1 year i've been running FSX which is probably why. I'll just tune down the amount of work i do on my computer. I have XP SP3 32 bit. Thanks Arjun
  20. Hello all, I got a strange error. IT says that it is related to me not having enough memory to Run Flight Simulator. Apart from not being able to fly on FS, i had to shut off my long haul flight where i had elapsed 5 of the 7.5 hours Computer Stats: Intel Core2 Duo E8400 @ 3.0 Ghz 2.00 GB Ram Nvidia Geforce 9800GTX/9800 GTX+ Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick Attached is the picture of what happened. Many Thanks Arjun
  21. Michael, VATPAC related stuff will be most answered from the VATPAC forums. For the TMA Sups, visit this link (http://vatpac.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9699) and it will give you TMA Supplements and Procedural Tower supplements. Arjun
