"Error connecting to voice server."
Claus Hemberg Joergensen replied to Andrew Turner's topic in xPilot
Well...in a way. I guess that the membership dashboard at https://cert.vatsim.net/sso/home/dashboard/ is the best way to go. If you can login at this page, your userid + password is correct, and your account status is active. However, we already know from what you have written above, that your account status IS actually active. According to the reply of @Nestor Perez above, the voice server is sync'ed immediately, so in theory you should be able to logon to the voice server too. So...not much new information you will get. Please also note, that login to the dashboard is not a guarantee that y -

Sure 🙂 if Robert's suggestion doesn't help, please visit https://membership.vatsim.net/ and open a support ticket, so we can have a thorough look at it. -
"Error connecting to voice server."
Claus Hemberg Joergensen replied to Andrew Turner's topic in xPilot
Hello Andrew. Not brand new it seems, looking at your CID 🙂 The up to 24-hour synchronization delay also occurs for reactivations, so in case you have just reactivated your VATSIM account, that is probably the reason. -
Chances are, that the membership manager handling your ticket lives in a different timezone than you do, so things just takes some time. Usually cases like yours would be handled within a day or two, but as mentioned...it varies. Also please remember, that when you receive your reply regarding account reactivation, it can take up to 24hrs, before the reactivation has been distributed to all servers on the network, so a bit of patience is needed 😉

Are you a Euroscope user and getting used to not having a list of who is in your voice room? Why not try out the Radio Direction Finder plugin, simulating the Eurocontrol RDF system. The first community developed AFV compatible plugin is now available, developed in cooperation with the AFV dev team finding time between other bug fixes to collaborate. Update to the lastest AFV Standalone Client, and go to https://github.com/chembergj/RDF/blob/master/README.md for plugin download and more info. Best regards,

The RDF plugin has now been updated to work with AFV. It requires at least version 1.6.32 of the AFV Standalone Client. More info and download here: https://github.com/chembergj/RDF/blob/master/README.md -

Unfortunately no. I suppose Gary Oliver has been extremely busy the recent weeks so didn't wanna bother him again. When things have settled I'll try to get in contact again so I can move forward with the plugin. /Claus -

Hi Martijn. Yes, I am contact with two of the AFV developers and we have a plan for moving forward on this. If it will be ready before the new AFV hits the real servers, I cannot say at this early time, but at least we have a plan. Regards, Claus -

Hello Pierre. Thank you for your suggestion. I didn't think of that in the first place, but that is of course the right way to do it - newbie ES plugin developer here, so all help appreciated Best regards -

I suppose so. Other users have solved a similar problem by installing this package, before loading the plugin: Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019 that can be found here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads Worth a try -
As discussed in other thread in this forum, I have made a simple little Radio Direction Finder plugin for Euroscope. It helps you locating the active pilot on the frequency by drawing a circle around the tag while transmitting (click middle button to redraw when transmission has ended). If aircraft is outside the current screen area, a line will be drawn, in the direction of the aircraft. Download and further instructions here: https://github.com/chembergj/RDF

Radio Direction Finder - Plugin Suggestion
Claus Hemberg Joergensen replied to Matisse VanWezer 1385143's topic in EuroScope
FYI: I have just made a new version 1.1 of the RDF Plugin. Since I finally found out, how the circle and line could be drawn on all allowed radar screen types, I have removed the somewhat clumsy tag implementation. The new version also includes the possibility to configure the color of the circle and line (default=white). Read more details on https://github.com/chembergj/RDF (in case you have used the old version already, please note the section "For users of old version".)
