  1. A lot of airspaces and airports are being amended in Japan. To minimise the confusion caused by the version difference of the NavData between each pilot, pilots flying in VATJPN airspace shall note following. ・Pilots shall indicate the AIRAC cycle by putting “AIRACxxxx” on the beginning of the remarks column of the Fight Plan. Note that in the strip bay on the VRC, the display of the Remarks column is significantly restricted. Be especially careful if you use the flight plan generation add-on. Pilots should try to update their AIRAC to the latest version if it’s possible. When it is particularly mentioned by the specific NOTAMs, it is strongly recommended to update their AIRAC to the specified version.
  2. At AIRAC 1908 on July 18, 2019, SID and STAR of Tokyo International Airport (RJTT) and Narita International Airport (RJAA) have been changed significantly, and the surrounding airways have also been changed. For the time being, new and old navigation data are mixed, which may cause confusion. Please note the following about each virtual pilot flying to Tokyo and Narita airport. [Effective] 2019/07/17 15:00Z (2019/07/18 00:00JST) for 6 months [For pilots] ・Indicate AIRAC number at the beginning of the Flight Plan Remarks column. Please enter AIRACxxxx at the beginning of the remarks when submitting your flight plan. Note that in the strip bay on the VRC, the display of the Remarks column is significantly restricted. Be especially careful if you use the flight plan generation add-on. ・Strongly recommended to update to AIRAC 1908 or later. This update will be a major change once every few years, including not only Haneda and Narita, but also the surrounding airways. We do not force AIRAC update, and VATJPN controllers will provide ATC service for user which uses AIRAC1907 or older. But we strongly recommend updating to AIRAC1908 or later as much as possible.

  11. Winsock Error (10060) I've been using TWRTrainer without problem for few years as training manager of VATJPN.(windows 7, 64bit, SP1) But tonight, when I open the *.air file, winsock 10060 error occurred. Another member of my team tried to open the *.air file, it gave the same error. (We can connect to the sweatbox using VRC.) TWRTrainer throws this error : "The following winsock error occurred with index 0: (10060) The attempt to connect timed out" Followings are what I have tried (but doesnt work). 1 : checked my CID and p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word 2 : connecting server -> sweatbox.vatsim.net 3 : off the antivirus software and firewall 4 : tried ACSIM, but was not able to load a file 5 : reboot my computer and router 6 : run as an administrator Also I have read similar topic "Winsock Error (10061)". viewtopic.php?f=50&t=43444 viewtopic.php?f=50&t=57997 Anyone have ideas? --------------- Masaki Hasuike VATJPN2
