  1. This has been the bane of Vatsim's existence for as long as I remember. And there have been a lot of casualties along the way trying and failing to disrupt this model.
  2. From the notes (https://ptd.vatsim.net/help): I'm sorry I can't help concretely, as I have no server/log access, but: a) verify the syntax of the authorization header b) try with a raw command line curl call first until you get it going, before implementing programatically c) do you get any json or plain text response at all? The only thing I could do is test against my local dev copy, which works but that's not very helpful, I know.
  3. The original developer has no clue either and also no recollections of this code except that it was written long ago, in a rush and while being in a pretty bad mood He wouldn't mind adding the extra fields though if you're still deploying from the original git repository (otherwise we can coordinate). Luke, regarding your 406 error: I have no server access so can't look at any logs and I'm not sure exactly what you're doing, but if you're trying to post some JSON, are you sending the correct MIME type headers?
  4. Nice, clean, data-driven, and with all JS appropriately injected before the closing
  5. For me this is solved by running vPilot as administrator. Can you try and see if it makes a difference for you?
  6. Michael, have a look at this post: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=67175#p480789
  7. Until it re-appears, you can browse the s[Mod - lovely stuff]ed cached version: https://web.archive.org/web/20140723224618/http://www.euroscope.hu/mediawiki/index.php?title=About_EuroScope
  8. Just a shoutout to Pierre Ferran and Florian Rimoli for their latest contribution to the vatsim_online library. Thank you guys, you rock The updated version has been pushed to rubygems.org.
  9. I think it's not exclusive to VATSIM or flight simulation, but applies to most forms of digital entertainment, gaming, etc: ladies are seldom fascinated by hobbies and pastimes that require sitting hours at a time in front of a PC. Those who enjoy or practice aviation or ATC in the real world might not necessarily be attracted to the digital counterpart.
  10. A bit of extra info, that might be useful for future users: Steam contains all the old SimConnect versions. They are in [Your Steam FSX Root Folder]\SDK\Core Utilities Kit\SimConnect SDK\LegacyInterfaces. The FSX-XPACK folder contains the one for the Acceleration expansion, which seems to be the most widely used.
  11. A shot in the dark: If it displays content in-sim, as you describe, it's one of the two: a resident gauge, described and loaded through the dll.xml file, or an external executable program that sends its in-sim messages via simconnect or FSUIPC. In the second case this could be loaded either by manually running an executable (.exe file) on every sim launch, which is almost certainly not the case, as you would know it, or it could be automatically started via an entry in the exe.xml file. Hence, I would suggest that you have a good look at your dll.xml and exe.xml files - both are locate
