  1. To some extent this is wrote from a US prospective. In the since of where we have big consolidated Terminal (APP/DEP) areas where we sign in as something that's no where close to our spoken callsign. Then on the controller info front. As a fellow controller the problem there is that as we know not all pilots bother to check ATC INFO. Witch in turn causes ATC not to post. So its a cycle that I we can fic by making this change.
  2. As pilots I'm sure we have all ran into this. You are flying, you were sent a contact me by a controller and you contact them as requested. But when the controller responds, they ID themselves with a different name. For example you are flying into Dulles (KIAD) and the contact me you got was from IAD_APP. When you contact IAD_APP you said "Dulles Approach (Callsign) ….". But then the controller responds with "(Callsign) Potomac Approach …. ". To alleviate this would you like if the radio name with the frequency displayed is in the pilot clients and maps? Instead of currently N
  3. I'm not sure what the specific file it was but I deleted the vSTARS file that was within this directory. So after getting ride of that and the vSTARS file within the x86 file. then doing a fresh install what ever the problem was it fixed itself. C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming
  4. @Ross CarlsonI found the problem. It seemed to be a bad file with in the appdata file for vstars
  5. Disregard I did fine something in the firewall under the inbound rules. Witch one of theses rules should I be looking and what should be changed.
  6. Looked at the windows fire and I didn't see anything regarding STARS or any other scope. So doesn't seem to be the problem with the firewall. If it the a/v don't know were to look the only one I have it the default one windows comes with.
  7. I don't think that's the problem b/c I opened ERAM and it downloaded fine. this is only happening in STARS

  9. I know what started this crash but the standard uninstall reinstall isn't fixing it and removing the config file didn't work either. So the night before I shut everything down as normal but the facility menu was still open on system shut down. Then the next day open opening STARS after opening a facility and the setting menu it throws the following error. See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: InvalidArgument=Value of '0' i

    Voice Bot

It seems when the voice server restarts/kicks users off vATIS is unable to re-add a voice bot to the network. At the time of this post, I have confirmed that this has also happened to Boston as well. http://prntscr.com/pvq62u
  14. Is there a way to limit what airports generate flight strips.
  15. It would be nice to be able to make a flight plan for planes that don't have one. Why I ask is because I know sometimes piolts don't file especially if its a VFR flight. It would be nice if we could make one so every flight has a plan so all ATC that would be controlling them knows when going on.
  16. I have been having a problem with connecting to the network. First I was getting Invalid protocol revision. So I downgraded to 1.2.3 of VRC witch go rid of the error. But now when I'm trying to connect the network it's trying to connect then I get disconnected. Here is a screenshot of the last VRC instance I ran. As of 6-14-18 running 1.2.5 getting servers but still getting the error. https://imgur.com/1plMbFj
