  1. Hi all, I noticed that a few pilots choose runways to land on, that are the best choice concerning wind and less taxi-time, but in real life are closed at that time; (So it might end up with e.g. angry citizens complaining about environmental / noise...the surrounding inhabitants will not let a chance p[Mod - Happy Thoughts] by to complain of course Well anyways: There is a handy website to check, with an image in which you can see what runway(s) are actually in use for Departure and Arrivals when there is no ATC coverage on VATSIM: https://en.lvnl.nl/environment/runway-use Just a
  2. Thanks for the tip. I'll try this tomorrow thoroughly around EHAM. I'll reply with the results/outcome. Goodnight.
  3. We measured the frame rate drop just last week. The difference between flying offline and online, with and without traffic (I had 50+ aircraft displayed at a time!) the difference was just 1 fps. Pfew, In that case... I have to study what exactly causes this particular lagging...it is getting more and more difficult to identify the culprit. I know a lot of other X-plane users complaining about this, but they are using X-pilot. It could also be the weather engine....Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed and keep on reading forums about this.

  5. Of course I understand the issue here, but I would like to add this perspective: In all the years I learned to tweak all the settings and the whole set-up of X-plane so that it is still acceptable and as lean as possible, so I manage to keep fps in the range of 30-35 even in densed areas. When online via Swift and getting near one of the Arrivals of EHAM for example, while 25 to 30 other aircraft on VATSIM are in the neighborhood (which is very nice) makes the sim for about twenty seconds drop to fps between 11 and 15 (as if it is calculating or loading a lot) and then immediately go back
  6. Yes, somehow suddenly my PTT-key wasn't working anymore. [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igning another key did not help. I had indeed to delete the whole rule and make a new one. Now I think the problem is solved. I could read the message in the Discord, because this time I was able to enter Discord. Now I had to claim some account, but I had already two and Discord refused it, so the gates of Discord are closed unless I'll manage to make a third account on a new email address? Well, all those platforms, clients, plugins and issues, it dazzles me...I'll try again later to test if things are still
  7. Hey...might this be the culprit? I don't see PTT flashing when pressing the [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igned hotkey. I tried different ones.
  8. Another dead end: Discord says: "Elevated API errors" We are currently working to resolve datable connection issues...etc. Problems are stacking up right now. I'm closing all my screens and programs and go outside for a walk in the woods, to calm down. Thanks
  9. Hello, I used to use Swift for a few weeks without any problems at all. Today, suddenly I am unreachable for the controllers. When pushing test/loop I can not hear myself anymore. So, I did a clean install of the latest version: 0.9.3.911131430 and re-checked the security & privacy settings inside my os (check: mic access to Swift GUI) and performed a go around: opened package and dragged the swiftguistd internal binary into Terminal. No results. Is there another plan available to get my voice back in the air? (using X-plane)
  10. I would love to see some kind of script that helps the aircraft somewhat clamping on the same level at airports. IVAO has something like that. As a mac user on X-plane I’ll guess others see mee burried in the ground because I see them, I think from FSX or Prepar3d, floating way above me. I’ll stay on VATSIM though, because XSquawkbox is the only program that functions great on mac with automatich switching between frequencies.
