  1. I have similar findings. vPilot 2.6.7 After spawning, all traffic is visible. Nothing is "ignored" in the aircraft list. About 10 seconds after changing simulator time or weather, existing traffic becomes "ignored" (not possible to un-ignore them - it says they are not on the ignored list) and the debug window fills with messages that the aircraft are deleted. New aircraft, that appear within my 50nm radius of activity after me making that change are displayed normally and show as active in the aircraft list. Restarting vPilot resumes normal function. 2. I wonder if the weather is updated in the Sim after a period of about 20mins and that is causing the problem. I and other users in my flying club find the same thing happens.
  3. As Simon says, you can do this fairly easily so both of you can talk to ATC from within one aircraft. I use this method regularly with students for GA flying. JoinFS is a free utility written by a UK flight simmer for networking FSX/P3D/Xplane simulators together but as Simon points out it is limited in it's function. It supports cockpit sharing which is limited to basic controls only. For example, you would see the other pilot lower flaps and change the heading bug, but it would not show you complex controls such as seatbelt switches, APU settings. You don't have to use identical air
  4. Yes Marlon, you can do this so both of you can talk to ATC from within one aircraft. I use this method regularly with students. For example, you would see the other pilot lower flaps and change the heading bug, but it would not show you complex controls such as seatbelt switches, APU settings. The procedure takes some explaining so I have made video tutorials: How to download and set up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgXMN-MnE1c&am
  5. Because when I am on Vatsim with other users who have aircraft which are unknown to MSFS, I want them to be shown as small GA, not larger jets. I mainly fly with friends in GA aircraft on small airfields.
  6. Don't worry, think I found it: "Generic Airliner Twin Engines Asobo 01" Have changed it to: "Cessna Skyhawk G1000 Asobo"
  7. I have (ahem) broken vPilot 2.6.5 already, just minutes after downloading and enjoying connecting to MSFS2020. Could someone pls paste the contents of their Default Model field? Stupidly I deleted the text to change it, then couldn't get the syntax right and couldn't restore the original. Now I can't connect because the contents of that field are invalid. Thanks in advance. Dave
  8. Ah yes, I see what you mean. Thanks!
  9. Thanks for your reply. There are only 3 permitted routes all of which allow FL90-230 and all require that one particular STAR so I think I'm ok.
  10. STAR charts might have a note for a flight level BY a certain waypoint. Is that FL an ABSOLUTE value or a MAXIMUM flight level? Example: My planned enroute Manchester to Gatwick is FL110. WILLO 3B STAR says "FL150 by KIDLI" I'd interpret that as "If you are higher than FL150, descend to it by KIDLI" but I can't find any guidance. Thanks Dave
