  1. Also for VA updates, you've added some entries as new entries in the new 2010 section that were already there from previous updates. So the updates don't work for airline codes that were already there... Otherwise, great job!

  3. The only way to show sub-sectors in ServInfo is to show them as FIRs, so it'd look very messy on ServInfo when all the UIRs and TMAs are online. And then you've got the problem that airports like Manchester will only show up on the 'Manchester TMA' FIR page, and not the London FIR page, even though its in the London FIR. Its just a limitation of ServInfo unfortunately.
  4. Yeh I think having them linked up would be good. Jeroen, is there any chance as well you might look at changing the pilot client a bit? As in reduce the amount of windows open from 3 to 1, and not 'simplify' the operation of it, but make it a bit more straight forward? Because one thing I found with the ATC client compared to the pilot one, was that the ATC client was very straight forward to use, you didn't even need to read the manual to know how to use it. The pilot one on the other hand was very complicated to use if you weren't familiar with it, and the instructions on the website wer

Jeroen, sorry if I sounded critical in my earlier post, I think its a great tool, but I was just looking at it from the mindset of the average pilot on VATSIM, having to e-mail requesting a login is perceived as more effort than something like an online registration form which you'd see for most other things, so which people are used to. So I was just trying to make the point that the easier you make it for people to access the ACARS software, the more that will use it.
  7. Just install the CPDLC program, ask for your free login and you are ready to go! Thats exactly the downfall of this addon. It has the potential to be widely used by all oceanic controllers and pilots, but that'll never happen as long as there is a requirement to e-mail the author to request a login. If a registration is to be required it should at least be an automatic thing on the website that can be done in the space of a couple of minutes.

  9. Yeh thought as much. From reading this topic it seems its a proprietary issue in that because Dell only sold the XPS 600 with XP or Vista, the BIOS update can only be installed on those OS's. So my only option now might be to reformat onto XP, install the update, and then reformat back onto Windows 7.

  11. I don't get what yeh mean. How can I boot the computer from a USB stick? Yeh I'm on A09 atm, wanting to update to A11.
  12. Yeh I'm running it as an administrator. I tried booting it from a USB stick via command prompt, but just got the same error.

I just bought new RAM recently, but I'm having problems with it in that when I have the 2x2GB modules in together(they work fine when put in separately) I get very crackly sound which disappears altogether after a few minutes. I've been told by crucial to update my BIOS as my current BIOS version might not be able to handle more than 2GB of memory.
