  1. Welcome to the Canadian Xpress Canada 150th Challenge, where until the end of July 2017, we will tour the great nation of Canada as it and its people celebrate the 150th anniversary of Confederation. Starting in the current Capital of Ottawa we head west to Toronto, Winnipeg and the western provincial capitals. From there we turn north to visit the 3 territory capitals and then on to the East coast provincial capitals along with Quebec City. At which point we head for the final stop of Kingston Ontario, Canada’s first capital and home of Confederation. This is a multi-leg 7,000nm journ

  5. Hi Ross, Just to confirm that item number 1 also is resolved. Great work! Regards,
  6. In my case, I am running the host one my flight sim PC and the remote on the secondary where I respond to messages. I guess my request was simply to have the same display in my PC as if I was only using everything on PC with an additional nice to have. No big deal. Regards,
  7. Hi Ross, I guess, in my particular case, it would be practical, simply because I stream all my flights on Twitch, so it would be a nice to have, to have my out-going messages on Unicom displayed in my flight sim. I do concur, that this would not necessarily be practical for everyone. Regards,
  8. Issues #2 & #3 resolved. I do not think issue #1 is resolved, but I will do more testing and advise. So far, my messages to other pilots on Unicom are not working. Flying in Russia right now and there is not a lot of traffic, so I will wait to see if incoming messages work.

  10. 2. Sound buzzer for PTT while not in voice is not checked in both clients, but I still get a buzzer sound; Typing error on my part.
  11. Couldn't find anything in the docomeentation regarding this, but I am having two small issues where I am running: Host w/ voice on my FS PC Remote on my secondary PC 1. Show incoming text message in simulator is checked in both clients, but I am not getting any message appearing in my flight simulator; 2. Sound buzzer for PTT while not in voice is checked in both clients, but I still get a buzzer sound; 3. Automatically squawk mode-C on take off is enable on the remote client, but it does not work.
  12. After 10 hours, we require all our pilots to fly online , so I would definitely support this. Regards,
  13. This month we are trying something new for our challenges where we will follow a real world flight in real-time and see if we can do better. It’s totally up to the pilot to choose a route and aircraft (as long as you’re rated for it). The real world ops title says it all. Pick a real world flight and fly it online at the same time the real flight is making the same flight in the real world. This however means there is no time offsetting allowed. So if you choose to fly during daylight hours, you will have to pick a fight that is flying somewhere in the world at the same time. The easie
  14. We have all seen the countless YouTube videos of the crazy crosswind landings at Birmingham Airport. Well it’s your turn to try your hand at it. Birmingham Airport (EGBB) formerly Birmingham International Airport is located 5.5 nautical miles (10.2 km; 6.3 mi) east southeast of Birmingham city centre, at Bickenhill in Solihull, England. It has a CAA Public Use Aerodrome Licence (Number P451) that allows flights for the public transport of p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]engers or for flying instruction. P[Mod - Happy Thoughts]enger throughput in 2015 was over 10.1 million, making Birmingham the sev
  15. Anyone who holds a pilot’s licence in the real world know what it means to stay current. It doesn’t really take much, a medical every few years and required amount of flight time which requires that you to fly an hour at least once a month. So this month, we are keeping current on our flight hours. In order to do that, all the restrictions are coming off. You pick the airport, you pick the route, and you even get to pick the aircraft as long as that aircraft is a single engine piston powered prop. This month, the challenge is to pick your favorite airport and single piston aircraft and
  16. I was unable to make the meeting. Will there be minutes posted?
  17. You will find that flying in Canada is almost identical to flying in the US. Regards,
  18. On Saturday, September 24th, 2016, Canadian Xpress reached a milestone as we have officially logged over 100,000 flights. The 100,000 flight was logged by Dave Weese (CXA007) at approximately 03h00z. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our pilots for their support in helping make us one of the most active Canadian virtual airlines. Your participation in our events, challenges and contests is what has made Canadian Xpress® the continued success that it is. 19. After 7 years of faithful service & over 97,000 flights, effective October 1st, 2016 Canadian Xpress is retiring FSAcars as our ACARS and flight logging software. Canadian Xpress is pleased to announce the official release of CXAcars v1.0, our new ACARS & flight logging software that was developed by Canadian Xpress. CXAcars v1.0 has many improvements over FSAcars. Some of the features include: • One step installation that installs all necessary files; • Works with FS9, FSX, P3D & XPX (Windows Version Only); • Updater that updates the CXAcars database with new aircraft
  20. I will always remember Bob as a fixture in the Vancouver FIR. He will be missed for sure. My condolences to his family.
  21. Thanks for the reminder... I know there was something I need to do. Been sitting in my inbox for about a week now.
  22. We have what is called a Free Flying Policy which means you can fly any route that you like with any aircraft that you have the rank to fly. Note, we accept 50% of VATSIM or other VA hours with no limits. http://CanadianXpress.ca Kind regards,
  23. We are in the process of adding X-Plane to our list of supported flight simulators but only support the Windows platform at this time & only have about 15 out of 53 aircraft that currently work in X-Plane 10, but it is actively being worked on. We may or may not be the VA that suits your needs as everyone's idea of the perfect VA is different, but you are more than welcome to check us out at http://CanadianXpress.ca Regards,
  24. The MTL Library by default should go into the SimObjects folder, unless you have modified your P3D.cfg to point is elsewhere. Regards,
  25. Do you have DX10 Preview enabled by chance. Try disabling it. I don't think the MTL Library supports DX10.
