  3. WIth the retirement of Apos from the position of VATEUR1 we have decided to place the process for selecting a new EUD1 on hold. This is because we believe there may well be many people who are suited to both positions and so we wish to appoint the more senior of the two first. We would welcome applications from people for one, or for both positions. 5. There is also no mention of it not being public. It is being treated as what it is. Within the network it is merely our own data, transmitted under our claim of legitimate interest. When it leaves the network it is a data transfer. And this docomeent states that it is being made available for the legitimate interest of enhancing people's situational awareness online. If someone objects to this legitimate interest there are procedures we can follow. That probably should have read directly from CERT, well spotted. We are trying to encourage people to only do so via a system utilising SSO to access the data indirectly. The only reason to access CERT directly will be if you have a genuine network related reason. Specific guidance on this access is being developed, and no we don't have a timeframe, it would be nice if it's before Friday. Realistically I've run the So What Ruler over what happens if it's a few days beyond that and haven't come up with a compelling reason to wet myself. That section deals specifically with archiving. We don't archive our data, it's kept live so people can connect to the network at anytime, which is the whole reason for the network in the first place. Long term retention is indeed something we are going to do. We have 20 years of accomeulated data that shows we have inactive members coming back to the network all the time on a regular basis. We contend it is in the legitimate interest of the network to ensure it's smooth functioning for all users, to facilitate the members return, to not have them have to start over (which would impact the legitimate interest of the network and it's users due to training delays) etc etc etc, with all their ratings, accomplishments and record intact that we do so. If our data showed it was not a frequent event we would have handled this differently. If a member objects to this claim of legitimate interest (as is their right), or asks for deletion we will of course do so, and have put in place the processes to make this happen. Regards, Jackson

  12. The issue relates to the SSO system. The hosting provider VATPAC use have moved them to a new, improved server. This has resulted in a change of IP and until that change propagates through the system it won't work. The request for the the new IP to be added has been submitted. Once the change has been made to the SSO system all will work as it should.
