  1. No need to shutdown the entire plugin, but how about to deactivate the faulty modules until a satisfactory solution has been found? So let's start discussing these issues. Can you confirm the following problems exist? VATSIM: the protocol allows commands on aircraft outside the visibility range of the controller. ES API: Certain functions to not work as expected. Can you name the functions, describe the expected and actual output? Did you notify the relevant persons about this issues? 3. I'm quite happy I solely have the power to impact your online experience, but I'm so sorry to hear it's a negative one. With all due respect I have tried MANY times to resolve the issues, however due to the unreliable nature of the Euroscope API and the VATSIM protocol, it is impossible to fix... I have vast experience in programming in the real-world, working for a well known aircraft manufacturer, so I think I know what I am talking about. Given what is available through the Euroscope API and VATSIM protocol is somewhat unreliable and too restrictive... If you would like to criticise an
  4. So the bug was fixed, without needing to have the VATSIM network protocol changed? No... it's yet another attempt to workaround it without needing to have the VATSIM network protocol changed...
  5. An update has been released this evening...
  6. That's very harsh, considering I code the plugin in my own free time... I don't get paid for it. I'm guessing you're the guy who's .walloping everyone for using VCA that is now a topic in the UK forums? I have provided many fixes in attempt to fix the issue, but have failed. The issue is/was not caused by myself as you state it was working sometime before. Nothing was changed in VCA to cause the problem, therefore it SHOULDNT be my responsibility to fix it! The question remains... why does Euroscope or the VATSIM protocol allow the squawk code of an aircraft to be changed when the cont
  7. This has been brought to my attension again and I am looking into this as a priority. Unfortunately, it is not an issue I can resolve myself in VCA, the bug stems from the VATSIM servers/protocol itself. I have tried various different ways to fix/workaround the issue, but it is impossible without changing the VATSIM protocol or Euroscope itself. I shall post here of any further developments. Kind Regards Craig Phillips (Developer of VCA)
  8. Hi Ross, I have another exception for you This exception occurred after the controller disconnected. Specified voice channel does not exist. 9. Hi Ross, It has happened 3 times today. Unfortunately I am unable to find anything that will trigger the exception. I just leave vPilot running in TowerView mode. I might be able to save my Euroscope log file that you might be able to playback in ES and then run the TowerView in vPilot on that? The only problem is I have been running the tower view for several hours and I didn't note down when it occurred. I might see if I can get a better log for you. When the exception occurs I can press 'Continue' and vPilot will still work fine though. Kind regards Craig
  10. Hi Ross, I received a .NET Exception whilst using the tower view in vPilot See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at dx.a(do A_0, AircraftConfiguration A_1) at dx.b(do A_0, AircraftConfiguration A_1) at dv.f(Object A_0, NetworkDataReceivedEventArgs A_1) ************** Loaded [Mod - Happy Thoughts]emblies ************** mscorlib [Mod - Happy Thoughts]embly Version: 2.0.0.0
  11. I am aware of this issue, and I have Euroscope logs that have been sent with people who are experiencing this issue. Despite having these logs of the issue, I have never seen the issue myself, which makes it difficult to resolve a problem I cannot see. I have attempted to make a fix and released it to several beta testers, however it does not seem to have resolved the problem. Unfortunately, due to work and university commitments I have not been able to commit much time to VCA, but I am aware that VCA is close to being unsupported by VAT-UK (which I do not which to happen). I will try my h
  12. Hi Jonas, For some reason I can't sent a private message to you... I currently do not have access to the system to debug the problem, as it resides on the VATSIM-UK server; once I get access I shall have a look and get back to you... Regards Craig
  13. Hi Ross, I did a short hop today in the PMDG 777, I was getting moaned at by the controller because I was continually squawking ident... I started the debug window for a short time and these are the times it shows a transponder ident state change... 14. Hi Mathew, Do the sector files you are trying to load work on another machine? Would you be able to send me the sector file so I could have a look? Check your Event Viewer on your machine, it might give some clues to why it is crashing out. Regards Craig
