  1. I am learning myself but being the tech that I am have some neat tools for using stock fsx planes and pmdg 777 that automate certain functions while taking off flying and landing so I can concentrate on interacting with ATC either via text or voice. I use EGPH to EGPA as an ATC Training run I have pre-texted ATC files that can be referenced with most of the parameters pre-filled as they are known ahead of time Also have used quicktextpaste to bring up menu I can slect from while on VPILOT and it will fill the text line with the selected text for ATC text communications If anyone interested in my assistance, CONTACT ME (It's FREE) Robert W. Higgins Sr.
  2. Im getting closer to EGCC (Manchester) which is my arrival airport, there are no centers active to provide me with a STAR, do I get my STAR off of Manchester's Approach frequency, or do I just self-assign mysekf one and announce it on Unicom? I'm relatively new and have been wanting to know an answer to this for quite a while now.
  3. Hi, When I log on to VatSys and listen in on ATC (just observing for now), I notice that the transmitting (when pilots and controllers talk) is very choppy. I have tried to see which server has the best ping, I tried downloading the standalone AFV, but that just seemed to worsen things. Does anybody have any suggestions on what I should do? Or does anybody know what the issue is? Thanks, Pepijn Colenbrander
  4. This is a question for anyone who maintains UniATIS formatting for their vACC/Division/etc. My vACC (Kuwait & Iraq) has just switched from vATIS to UniATIS. UniATIS was configured for this vACC by persons unknown to me, years and years ago; and the formats configured for our airports are not ideal, and with the new way ATIS works with AFV, many items are mispronounced. I tried to reach out to UniATIS management at the email address listed on the UniATIS website (https://www.uniatis.net/contact.php) but have had no response. Who should I reach out to, to configure UniATIS for my vACC? Thanks for your time, Matt.
  5. So today 1 hour ago, I completed 4 hours in VCBI_T_TWR and I tracked 1-2 aircraft. When I disconnected, after several minutes, it was supposed to show my log, but it didn't. What to do now? I also tried after an hour thinking that Stats server maybe be slow, but still no updates. I'm confused at the moment. If anybody could help me woth this topic. TIA
  6. Hi, I downloaded EuroScope, latest Beta version, and all the sector files. But when I open the sector file, nothing shows up. its just a black screen. can somebody help? Thanks!
  7. Hello everyone, John here for my first ever forum post. I want to become an ATC and I want to observe the radar and listen to communications, but the main problem is I have some permissions that restrict me from using administrative permissions. Is there anyway I can install this .msi file without admin privileges? I would like to know! Thanks! -John
  8. As pilots I'm sure we have all ran into this. You are flying, you were sent a contact me by a controller and you contact them as requested. But when the controller responds, they ID themselves with a different name. For example you are flying into Dulles (KIAD) and the contact me you got was from IAD_APP. When you contact IAD_APP you said "Dulles Approach (Callsign) ….". But then the controller responds with "(Callsign) Potomac Approach …. ". To alleviate this would you like if the radio name with the frequency displayed is in the pilot clients and maps? Instead of currently New/Suggested format Albuquerque Center - 127.850 LA/Los Angeles Center - 125.8 Houston Center - 123.650 Socal Approach - 124.500 Socal Departure - 124.300 and so on
  9. just a qick quastion. who do you need to contact if you are in the wrong division to be atc. because im in division with the uk and its saying that you should not have europe and the uk in the same, if you want to be a controller in scandinavia. any one that can help Gavin

  12. Hi everyone, I was trying to upgrade to Euroscope Beta from Euroscope Stable, but I have been facing a few issues. Upon starting Euroscope Beta, it crashes straight to desktop. I have gotten the latest Euroscope Beta from the Euroscope Website (v3.2 Beta). I have updated the Visual C++ for x64 and x86 after seeing that as a solution, as I use Windows 10. I use a few plugins, like Holding List, vSMR and Discord Plugin, but have unloaded them multiple times before starting the beta. I am unable to find a log file. The picture below is the screen right before Euroscope crashes. I would really appreciate some help. Thanks, Adhiraaj (I am sorry if there is already a forum post about this, I just couldn't find any up to date.)
  13. How to know the opening times of radars ATC in the world. Or the radars ATC open according to the person or how?
  14. I was flying an approach into LPMA and I touched down a bit late which lead to me having to backtrack at the end of the runway, do I need to make any ATC contact or do I just backtrack and and announce that I 'vacated via Charlie' like I did?
  15. Hello, I use VPilot on FS2020 and sometimes I cannot hear ATC/traffic and ATC cannot hear me on certain frequencies. I.E. I can communicate with tower but cannot communicate with departure when I switch over. I have my frequencies set correctly and VPilot shows I'm transmitting on the correct frequency yet I do not hear controllers or pilots and they cannot hear me. Please let me know what I should do. Thanks for the help.
  16. I'm new to VATSIM. I have a question regarding ATCs. If there's a center online, will it control approach and ground for each airports in that area. For example, if Washington center is online, will it control ground, tower, approach for let's say KIAD or KDCA? Thanks,
  17. How can I determine which Center to contact prior to departing in a Charlie for VFR? https://www.vatsim.net/pilot-resource-centre/general-lessons/airport-atc-procedures-cd-gnd-twr tells me: I found servinfo here, but it brings me to a 404 https://www.vatsim.net/documents/approved-software I was planning to fly KGSO -> KLWB, and there were a lot of centers online. Ultimately went offline prior to pushback because I was confused. Accidentally cropped it out, but no Approach, Tower or Ground was available.
  18. I can’t find anything that explains me what dose it mean when the tower tell me “revival 4” for example. Please explain me ;)
  19. Hello VATSIM members, just a simple question. As ATC, if I would book a facility which I'm sure that I can cover for a specific day, I used since my day 1 on VATSIM vroute. However, from my perspective this tool have some limits: if I would fly with ATC coverage, I can see only the ATC facilities which are booked for next 18 hours. In the past, atcbooking.com has solved this problem for me because it was a good system to find who has booked a specific facility, with several days of pre-advice before the effective day selected from that virtual ATC. However, seems that now atcbooking website was closed. I found as alternative solution https://vatmm.org/ , but seems that this system doesn't recognize the ATC positions booked on vRoute. Someone can told me if there are more valide solutions than vroute, because seems that on vatmm isn't possible book any ATC facility but only see the next ATC facilities booked, and I'm worried that I use an outdated system for ATC bookings. Thanks in advance guys! See you in our virtual skies!
