About Me

  1. I have noticed that when I connect to Vpilot fps goes from 55 to 35, gpu from 99% to 70%. Sometimes when I am flying as soon as Vpilot catches atc coverage gpu can drop from 60% to 30% usage, thus making it unplayable. I use MSI afterburner to monitor the performance and clearly something is off. At first I thought it was a MSFS update , but after flying around 40 hours without Vpilot without having any performance issues, I am now certain it's Vpilot causing it.
  2. VATSIM congratulates our friends at Microsoft and Asobo Studios on their long anticipated release of Microsoft Flight Simulator for the Xbox. However due to many factors, including technology limitations, VATSIM will not be compatible with the Xbox platform for the foreseeable future. A key part of our inability to support Xbox is the network securities that are built into the Xbox itself. These protections do not allow Xbox games to listen for TCP connections within a game as a server as well as the incompatibility of SimConnect with the xBox version of Microsoft Flight Simulator. VATSIM will continue to support the PC version of Microsoft Flight Simulator and is watching the development and reception of the Xbox version within the general flight simulation community. If bringing support to Xbox users is a positive direction for our network and becomes technically viable, it is something that we would revisit. For now, VATSIM is committed to continuing our relationship with Microsoft and Asobo. We look forward to helping them improve the PC platform. We thank all of our members for their continued dedication to VATSIM through their flights, controlling sessions, and support activities.
  3. Hey guys, Is there a way to cancel a direct to a waypoint via the mcdu in the Airbus A320? My sim is MSFS2020. Thanks in advance
  4. When I connect to vatsim vía vpilot in fs2020, it says I’m online and I show up as online on all vatsim maps, but I cannot hear or see others connected to the network. What am I doing wrong?
  5. Hello, I use VPilot on FS2020 and sometimes I cannot hear ATC/traffic and ATC cannot hear me on certain frequencies. I.E. I can communicate with tower but cannot communicate with departure when I switch over. I have my frequencies set correctly and VPilot shows I'm transmitting on the correct frequency yet I do not hear controllers or pilots and they cannot hear me. Please let me know what I should do. Thanks for the help.
  6. Hello, I am completely new to VATSIM and would like to learn how it works. The problem is that reading a bunch of guides which contain millions of walls of text isn't really helpful for me. The best way of learning for me personally is someone who is patient and kind enough to teach me and explain to me, both in theoretical and practical terms, in detail how stuff works here. I know some basic stuff about flying. I played FSX a lot before buying FS2020 and continuing playing that until I fall asleep in front of my monitor (well, not really). I would still call myself a newbie, however, because of my deficit of knowledge about f.e. the FMS, patterns and go-arounds and stuff like that. In terms of language barrier and stuff like that: You should be capable of explaining everything in English, maybe German would be even better. But English would also do just fine. It is really important that you're patient. Really patient! I tend to take a long time for learning new stuff and to really get into the matter. If someone would be so friendly and has some free time for this, I would really appreciate it a lot!
