Is there being worked on new client software for VATSIM. Fsinn and SQBox is discontinued - so we seriously need new software?

The versions of Flight Simulator that the “discontinued” client were developed for are also “discontinued.” The Flight Simulator Versions that are still active in development (XPlane and Flightgear) have pilot client development still active.

I’m sure when Microsoft releases another version provisions for that version, if it appeals to our community, will soon have a pilot client for it.

As Ernesto mentioned, there is plenty of support for the two pilot clients you mentioned. It’s unlikely that FS9 and FSX will be abandoned (as for a support on VATSIM) any time soon. So the current to Microsoft Flight Simulator pilot clients can and most likely will have a very long life.

For FSInn/VATSIM issues, please test the FSInn Installation sticky and linked FAQ. It really works!

FSInn works pretty nicely. Don't use the weather though, it has a bug that interprets negative temperatures as positive ones above a certain altitude.

Oh my god and the earth is shifting on its axis, and the moon is made from cheese.

Far more believable than Fsinn and SqBox are discontinued.

By the way, one of FSInn's most outstanding features is it's weather engine. It works well and is very powerful. If you use FSInn, try out the dynamic's of it. It's enabled by default.

Follow the steps provided in the Installation sticky to work around the simconnect bug that causes problems when flying at high altitudes.

People rarely have any problems with FSInn as long as the follow the steps provided in the Installation sticky.

FSinn might be supported here on vatsim, the official support from the developer is shut down together with the website. So besides giving advice FSinn is discontinued. Done deal, we need something to replace SB (which is the most NON user friendly program i ever saw) and FSInn which (since the webserver went down) useless.

How is FSInn useless? It connects to VATSIM and displays traffic perfectly fine.
