Hi,

first off Im new here so sorry if Im screwing up.

Anyway as we all know about this horrible earthquake that has happened here in Japan many people are suffering and still are. I have recently visited sendai and people there are having a very hard time with housing, food and finance. The only bright side is is that sendai airport has been fixed and is operational. I was wondering what if we have a sendai event where we fly freighter jets to sendai with food and stuff to help them. I thought that this would emotionally support them. Please reply to me as I am quite happy with that idea.

Thank you

I don't think hosting a Sendai event per say is appropriate right now.

A simple group flight perhaps? You may gather interest here: viewforum.php?f=106

VATJPN has already canceled their monthly event due to power outage that aimed to conserve energy in Tokyo and other adjacent cities. I do not speak for VATJPN but I would agree with Romano that this is not the appropriate time to organize an official event with a theme that may invoke discomfort in some members.

A VSOA recently conducted numerous flights in and around the area, and they received warm thanks and words of appreciation from the members living in that real area.

If there is nothing else we can do, we can fly there and demonstrate that the rest of the world at least acknowledges what happened. If others see the activity they may at least remember, or even better maybe do something more tangible.

arigato keisuke san, I would be very happy to join that route. I just wished JAL still operated 744Ds, well at least ANA does. Don`t worry about power to much, if you turn every electric items off flight sim is ok. Here is an advice I wish to spread to all Japanese citizens. If you unplug wires from the electric socket it actually saves powers. There many items people don`t unplug and that uses very very little power. But if everyone unplugs it then it saves huge power.Yes we can!

p.s check out this song of Narita Airport, I love it
