When I go to file my flight plan and call out to ATC I hear not one. I also go down to the See who is online list and there is no ATC. My home airport is KATL. Any tips or ideas? Use a program to see where controllers are online. On Windows, use VATSpy. On the Mac, use QuteScoop. Or, you can use various web-based services, such as: http://www.vattastic.com/ If there's no controller online in your area, tune your radio to Unicom, 122.8 - there's no voice on Unicom, but you'll likely see text traffic from other pilots.
