Over the past two or so weeks, I've been doing some short flights in my c172, starting in New York and headed west. The goal is to eventually get all the way to Los Angeles, going one leg at a time all the way. So far the first three legs have taken me to Pittsburgh, and I ended my last flight with my first refueling stop at Titusville airport (airport code is 6G1). I'm planning on my next leg this evening, engine-on time 2300Z.

I'm planning on going VFR out to Toledo, Ohio by way of Cleveland and then Lake Erie. If anyone wants to join, just pop in at titusville in a c172 (or similar aircraft) around that time with a sectional and/or TAC chart ready to fly.

If it's not stupid then it's not worth doing.

I do things like this all the time in GA aircraft (C152, Archer II, Skylane, etc.) I spend most of my time flying around the northern US, though I sometimes head south. I'd love to join you on your cross country, but I'm not sure how I'd find you since I'm fairly new to VATSIM. I just did two flights tonight, 39N-KABE in a Piper Cheyenne, and then KABE-KALB in an F-14. If there were controllers online, I wouldn't have tried pulling that last one

I was just going to make a post today about doing this, find out what routes people were taking. I was also planning on coming back thru Canada West to East.
