Hi all,

I think there are some problems with the server of VATSIM Southeast Asia. I am not able to open the websites, neither the one of Hongkong vACC nor the one of VATSEA. Does anybody have the same problem?

Do you want your Virtual Airline to become an official partner on VATSIM or to participate in the VAA Program?

Hi Timmy,

That is affirmative. Unable to open the HKG vACC site along with the VATSEA.

It could be that they're doing updates on the website (let's not get hopes high) but it's a possibility.

Another issue that could be possible is that "CPU throttling" may be cause in effect - although I doubt this.

Strange that they're down.

Tried to open VATASIA too and got:

Site is temporarily unavailable.

My best,

Yes The SEA site does seem to be down, I have mailed Bowen to check about this.

The VATASIA site has had a lot of spam issues, I have asked for the forum there

to be disabled. It is because of the forum being disabled that one sees the site

unavailable message.

The whole VATASIA site will need to be redesigned but that is going to take a

lot of work and some time to complete. I have already started working towards

that process.

Hopefully our requirement of a site for our new FSS as well as VATASIA will be

addressed simultaneously. Apologies for the inconvenience caused to all members.

Hi Deepan,

No no - no inconvenience at all...I know all about spamming in forums since our own vACC is being bashed at daily. Currently working on alternatives to remove these bots.

Nice to know that the VATASIA will get a face lift...wish I had some web-skills myself but unfortunately I'm Mickey Mouse in that domain!

My best,

I registered myself on the website for VATASIA Forum some weeks ago. After registration, I wondered why there wasn't any topics/threads which are relevant for VASTIM but lots of strange advertisments. Now I know the reason for this phenomenon. Since the forum is useless, please delete my account on the VATASIA Forum. Thanks.

EDIT: I meant of course the VATASIA forum .

Perhaps you meant VATASIA forum? if yes then as mentioned above that website anyway

is about to be redesigned. The forums to use for all of Asia are available here anyway so you

can post here.

So, confirm all my data will be deleted.

The old forum in the VATASIA site is closed as we'll use VATSIM's forum for discussion.

The previous problem is partly due to the Login/Register link still enabled and being attacked. We got lot's of SPAM message.

Now all these links are removed.

The VATASIA site is now back online. Hopefully no more SPAM message as we disabled the forum already.

However, some other function of the site still based on the database and we need some time to redesign the site.

The current data is still keep in the database but will not be use in anyway until we redevelop the site.

And more news about the VATSEA server.

I just get in touch with Bowen and as far as I know the VATSEA server is under migration. It is now available but will be very slow sometimes.

The process may take 24 hours and hopefully everything will be back to normal soon.
