Rami Arbili 991831 Posted January 28, 2012 at 06:26 PM Posted January 28, 2012 at 06:26 PM Hi everyone, I have an annoying connection problem using ES at evening / peak hours Only when connected as CTR and with facility set to CTR, the ES disconnects with no error message shown Here's some info.... Background: - Desktop with 1G LAN connection - OS Win7 pro 64bit - Internet speed 12mb - All relevant ports are open and forwarded (at least the ports I'm aware of) - All ES components are marked as "trusted" on all security/antivirus/firewall settings.. (i.e. ES has a VIP p[Mod - Happy Thoughts].....) Symptoms: During the day (0500z to 1600z) - When connecting as APP station with facility set to APP - all is good - When connecting as CTR station with facility set to CTR - all is good - When connecting as OBS station with facility set to OBS - all is good During the evening (~1600z-1700z to 2300z) - When connecting as APP station with facility set to APP - all is good - When connecting as CTR station with facility set to CTR - few stations are being presented, few aircrafts are displayed, ES disconnects without an error after 15-30 seconds - When connecting as OBS station with facility set to OBS - same as above (CTR/CTR) - When connecting as CTR station with facility set to APP - all is good. obviously I'm shown not as CTR station..... My tests and actions so far: - Tested on another PC - same results - Disabled all security/firewall/etc. - same results - Replaced the router with a new one - same results - Checked the internet connection (actual link) for errors (packet loss, jitter etc...) - all looks clean. (and the test was with an analyzer connected for about a week) - Minimized the radar range to a very low number, less than 30 nm - same results - tried all servers - you guessd it...... same results Any suggestion would be appricated..... Luca Benelli Posted January 28, 2012 at 07:02 PM Posted January 28, 2012 at 07:02 PM Checks on the server side report "auth challenge timeouts", but as pings are ok i have no idea of what could be causing this, as it normally depends from congested lines (and there you have high pings).
