sound problems - distortion and very low volume

Hi all,

 

Need some help with the following please -

 

* xsbox 64-bit installed in xplane 10.25

 

* vatsim controllers can hear me ok except that I can barely hear them. What very little volume there is is also distorted.

 

 

Have checked all relevant volume controls etc / running through corsair usb gaming headphones for both mic and sound.

 

 

Really annoying problem,so if anyone can offer some advice I would greatly appreciate it.

 

 

 

EDIT; Problem solved I think. A senior moment on my part ...
