Ryan will have the chance to earn his rating this Monday, February 24, during our weekly event Triple M: Moncton Montreal Monday! VATSIM requires Air Traffic Controllers to undergo extensive online and offline training to ensure the controller can accurately handle the traffic patterns. During each stage of a controllers career hundreds of hours are dedicated to mastering this trade, starting as an OBS, and working through to C1. Here are some of the requirements VATSIM requires S3 Terminal students to process: - Issues amended ‘maintain’ level where necessary for positive separation - Cancels STAR and vectors aircraft for sequencing or separation - Initiates holding when necessary to regulate traffic flow - Applies appropriate vertical and lateral separation between aircraft Please join us at 2359Z on Monday February 24, 2014 and help put Ryan's skills to the test!
