Are you still having this issue? When does the error come up?

Hi Ross,

Sorry for the late reply, just back from taking my wife to the airport.

It happened this afternoon, about 1200Z and persisted for about 30 minutes. In that time I restarted vPilot and rebooted the PC. I was going to add some WoAI European airlines as I'd had to have a clear out due to duplicate entries. Clicking on Settings/Model matching resulted in an empty Available rules set, window.

Clicking on Refresh list gave the error message.

I left it about an hour and retried and it was fine. Sorry I didn't reply then but I was late out the door for the trip down to Alicante.

Still OK now.

Many thanks,

Probably not at all related but this morning vPilot was not able to install the update.

The error message said it could not access vPilot.exe and gave the path.

Checking showed that for some reason C:/Users/Phill/AppData had become hidden. Correcting the permissions allowed vPilot to update.

Each user's appdata folder is hidden by default ... that's normal.

When you say you corrected the permissions, what do you mean?

My AppData file hasn't been hidden for years.

Bad choice of words on my part Ross. I removed the tick from hidden on the AppData folder and allowed all subfolders and files to have the same attribute.

vPilot then updated without problem.

Strange ... never had that problem, nor did any of the testers after dozens of automatic updates. I'll keep it in mind, though.

Hi Ross,

You can put a line through this error, it's not a vPilot problem.

I couldn't update this morning so I started a registry scanner to have a look. It too, wanted to update and returned a similar path access error message.
