Asked the pilot to try closing vPilot and reconnecting if he was willing... he did so and it worked without error.

Was the pilot on the ground at the time? (Just wondering because if he was airborne/inbound and had the option "Automatically squawk mode C on takeoff" selected, the client should have switched to mode C when airborne.)

He was airborne, and I did not ask whether he had that option enabled.

Aircraft transponder is on Ground and in vpilot is showing Mode C

Aircraft transponder on Flight vPilot shows Mode Stand by

So it is working the wrong way around

Any ideas?

I could be wrong but I believe it starts out in the state it was last left. Clicking on it or cycling it (if you a have payware aircraft it works with) doesn't change it?

I'm willing to bet that this error is thrown if vPilot is launched before Free Flight is loaded (after clicking Fly Now, the loading bar reaches 100%). I just tried vPilot for the first time and got the same error. Perhaps next weekend I can try launching it after the sim is loaded.
