I've tried to figure this out for myself, but it's beyond me. I'm running FSX Acceleration on the main computer and vPilot on a networked laptop. I do have SimConnect installed on both computers. I have Squawkbox running on the laptop without problem.

Here's the log file from Global Exceptions. Any suggestions?

Not sure if it will help, Ross would know better, but the current version is 1.0.5240.39407. Maybe update and give that a shot? Looking again at the list of things that was updated in that build, I would think it wouldn't help. But I've seen stranger things What version of SimConnect?

I installed the most recent version of vPilot and now get a different error message. It says "vPilot core components could not initialize. Please ensure SimConnect version 10.0.61259.0 is installed".

On my FSX machine in Windows/winsxs I have 10.0.60905.0, 10.0.61242.0 and 10.0.61259.0. On my laptop, in the Windows/winsxs/ directory I have 10.0.60905.0 and 10.0.61242.0 but no 10.0.61259.0.

So apparently I have got to find that version 10.0.61259.0 and get it installed on my laptop. But where oh where to find it? We'll see!

Ross, Don....

For an oldtimer, I'm about as excited as a kid in a candy store. It's working!!!! Don, thanks for your encouragement and Ross - for the program itself and the link to the correct SimConnect dll.

There are errands to run but I'll work on getting things set up tonight or tomorrow. Thanks again; I couldn't have done it without your help.
