Here are a few shots from the convention, now you can place the names with faces!!

Had a great time, we all set up our laptops (15) in one lineup and dimmed the lights.

Really truly? If so, cool. I might just be able to make that one. Heck, that's driveable from the SLC area in a single day, no prob.

Mark -

AWESOME PICS! They really don't do justice to the amount of fun we had at this convention.

I'd like to thank everyone that attended the convention and made it such a resounding success! And to those of you who feel it's a waste of money or time, all I have to say is you reap what you sow........

An official announcement will follow regarding next year's convention, but here's a hint:

Great fun..good to see old friends from last year in DC, and meet new ones.

Z put on a helluva show this time around, and I had 10 times as much fun at this then I did at the DC convention (not dissing the VATSIM convention, but we had a great time at the host hotel this time around).

Yes Bill

It was amazing meeting everybody and getting to a put a face to a name.

You know...

Now that I think about it, it was pretty cool who we had show up:

Elvis Presly

Peter Griffin.....

Ahh...good times

Actually, that was meant as a compliment. I wish I could have gone to Chicago. I hope to see more shots soon.

Thank you,

I'd like to echo this. I had a blast out in Chicago. Things ran so smoothly, not a single hitch. The icing on the cake for me was the ZAU tour. Mark Z should be commended by everyone for his efforts not only in working out the logistics for the convention, but also setting up that tour. All of us who went got to plug in with individual controllers (I got the southwest area -- Bradford4 arrival high altitude) who could not have been more courteous (while working traffic the whole time!). Thanks again to Mark Z, Jeff and everyone else who helped make this happen.

Echo...

To summarize, the previous four weeks for me have been, for lack of a better term, hellatious. A lot of stuff going on in my work/personal life, and worrying about all this. Since I was tasked with the responsibility of getting the network running for the convention flyin, and our budget pretty much limited us to one connection, I had to spit in the wind and hope a default Linksys wireless router with beefed up firmware would do the trick.

I was a basket case the first two days of the convention, not knowing whether or not this thing would come off the way I wanted it to. It worked better than Id have hoped, and hope everyone involved in the flyin in Chicago enjoyed themselves. I spent most of the morning running around making sure the thing would work.

Now I sorta wished it hadn't worked so well; I'm sure I'll get the call for next year now.
