I dream about joining general aviation fly ins at small airfields. I like and live in the Uk but also like flying the San Francisco Bay area. I have flown offline for a few years using Fseconomy but I am looking forward to forcing myself to fly in a more disciplined manner. I have no real experience of real life flying but I have been reading everything on the PRC. You might want to consider joining CIX VFR Club which is a GA group based in the UK and who fly light aircraft on the network. https://www.cixvfrclub.org.uk/ They arrange flights together and that might help you get into the online flying aspect of your VFR flights.
