I don’t know which ones to use?

MICROPHOINE INPUT DEVICE

Wave – external mike

Wave stereo mix

Direct sound external mike

Direct sound stereo mix

Direct sound intergrated mike array

HEADSET OUTPUT DEVICE

Wave – spkrs & headphones

Wave – comms headphones

Direct sound – spkrs and headphones

Direct sound comms headphones

SPEAKER OUTPUT DEVICE

Wave spkrs and headphones

Wave comms and headphones

Direct sound spkrs and headphones

Direct sound comms headphones

I have/use a plug-in headset which also has a mike boom. It is connect to my laptop with a 3.5mm jack (one for mike and one for headphone)

Comms Panel – when I apply the position:- sea_twr, freq:- 119.900, vox server:- rwliveatc.net and vox channel:- sea_twr, save the changes, I then “check” [RX] = ok (black check on white background), but when I “check” [HDST] or [sPKR] = “check” but on a grey background. I never hear anything and the ATC freq on my mainscreen goes from either HDST/SPKR to TXT ONLY

I am trying to observe.

Can anyone please help

Best regards

Peter

Make sure the voice server is rw.liveatc.net and not rwliveatc.net

Also make sure the voice server and channel match those of the controller you're attempting to observe. Not all of them use the LiveATC server, and not all of them use their VATSIM callsign as the channel name.
