On client when trying to amend an entry in settings pages getting error (.Net Framework type I think) when applying, or pressing OK which prevents changes being made. Basically I was trying to use the software by having vpilot installed on both PCs then using traffic proxy only on the server and vpilot on the client, unfortunately I couldn't get this to work because when entering any date and then applying or pressing OK the error would occur . Seeing that I had not used vPilot for a while, I read the Networked set-up instructions and realised that I could just run vPilot from the client using WideFS and all is working now fine. Ross Carlson Posted January 25, 2016 at 04:53 PM Posted January 25, 2016 at 04:53 PM It should have worked fine the way you were trying to run it. vPilot does not need WideFS to function over a network. WideFS as I understand it is to let you run FSUIPC-dependent add-ons on a remote computer. vPilot does not use FSUIPC ... it only uses SimConnect. I suspect that if you're not running TrafficProxy on the FSX host, then you're probably going to see jittery movement of other aircraft, since that's the whole reason for TrafficProxy ... to smooth out the movement of other aircraft in the session. Let me know if you'd be willing to continue to troubleshoot it and get it running the way it's meant to be done. When I get home this evening I will install vPilot on the Server then I will try to connect with vPilot on client minus WideFS and see if everything works OK. When I install vPilot on Server do I need to run it and configure it or can I just run Traffic Proxy without ever starting vPilot.
