Deputy Air Traffic Manager (DATM)

 

The Deputy Air traffic manager is responsible for the development and execution of the training program, Processes applications for new students and administers examinations. He ensures that ATC comply with current Operating Procedures and Performs competency checks and instruction to maximize ATC quality. The Piarco FIR is the biggest and most complex FIR in VATCAR, consisting of 7 Primary TMAs and over 20 airports. The DATM for this FIR will not be the DATM of one TMA or one airport, but to be the DATM of the entire FIR, not focusing his time and resources on one particular area, but doing all things to benefit the FIR on a whole. He is to set an example for other controllers, being respectful to them and pilots at all times.

 

 

The successful candidate:

• Must have at least a Controller rating.

• Must have availability to control at least 10 hours a month.

• Must have good written and oral communication skills.

• Must be able to work in a team environment.

• Must have no significant disciplinary history or record of unprofessional behavior.

• Must not hold any staff position outside of VATCAR

• Must be Humble
