vPilot testing models

Hi,

Is there any way to test the models selected when vPilot (v2.0.11) starts?

There used to be an option in v1 but I cannot find it in v2.

I got a sim1.dll error earlier which I believe could be due to a dodgy AI model/texture.

Thanks

Phil

No, that feature was removed when model matching was made automatic.

Would it be possible to add it back in for testing of custom model matching rule sets?

Obviously it's possible ... you''re really asking if I will do it. Maybe, but it would be pretty low on the priority list.

I guess the good news is that you made the list!

Not quite... Ross said "would be", not "is" or "will be".

@Ross - not that it means much, but I'll chip in my own "+1" for this request to at least make it onto the list along with my reasoning: The need/usefulness of this feature hasn't really changed from v1 to v2. At least, not for one of its major benefits - checking one's library of models for bad apples. A faulty model that will cause the sim to crash when displayed is something I think most of us would love to find whilst on the ground in a forced test rather than flying around just waiting for it to be matched for another pilot.

Absolutely! I was surprised when it was removed.

If votes count (and I know they don't , +1 for bringing back the test functionality for the reasons stated.

+1 from me.

Had last time a crash during descend into Vienna. Other pilots where also in descend as I have seen them on VATSpy. The only change was vpilot v2 with a new rebuilt custom modelmatching.

Maybe a model was faulty and therefore P3D crashed.
