Hello. I am planning a flight from EGKK to EHAM. Naturally I can see what ATC is available at Gatwick when I connect to VATSIM, but how do I find out what ATC will be available as I approach Amsterdam?

Sorry if it is a dumb question. Any many thanks for any help.

Generally if there is full ATC coverage for the whole route, they will hand you over at each change.

However it's probably a good idea to have a who's online app/program that way you can see who is around.

That's most helpful. Thank you. I was not sure how you would know if there was full or part ATC coverage so your suggestions should give me that information.

vPilot , one of the clients for connecting to the network, would show you what controllers and the positions that are in range as you fly along. The downside is even though they are in range, you may not be entering thier airspace. But it is nice that the freq ,if you need it, is right there.

Good luck and have fun!

I got to the door!

Thank you that is helpful. Yes I have connected with bPilot and was wondering if it updated as you went along the route.

Thanks for all your help

Thanks Don.

If there are others available, we could add them.
