VATeir, the Irish vACC of VATSIM, is accepting applications for the position of Events Director.

The closing date for applications is 31 May 2017 at 22:59:59Z.

 

Applications should be sent to ‘[email protected]’ to include the position for which you are applying in the subject line.

 

The body of the email should include your name, VATSIM CID, your rating (excluding administrative ratings) and a short VATSIM CV indicating previous previous experience as appropriate.

 

The Events Director reports to the vACC director and liaises with the Operations Director and the Training Director in the course of their duties. The Events Director is an honorary position.

 

The duties of the Events Director include, but are not limited to:

  • Organising vACC events;
  • Producing controller rosters for vACC events;
  • Maintaining effective communications with neighbouring vACCs and virtual airlines to [Mod - Happy Thoughts]ist in organising international events;
  • Alerting vACC members of forthcoming events through VATeir's channels of communication;
  • Working with the Operations Director to roster appropriate controllers on positions during events;
  • Working with the Operations Director to ensure that all resources for events etc. are available (custom sector files, briefing
  • docomeents, etc.);
  • Keeping the events calendar on the VATEUD API up to date;
  • Maintaining an active online presence within the vACC;
  • Other duties as [Mod - Happy Thoughts]igned to him/her by the vACC Director.

 

Ideally, candidates will have:

  • Membership of VATeir or a willingness to become a member of VATeir;
  • An S2 rating, and a willingess to learn;
  • A clean VATSIM CERT record;
  • Good knowledge of the VATSIM Code of Conduct and Code of Regulations;
  • Experience working with Adobe Photoshop or similar editing software;
  • Good written English and good verbal skills.
