Hello fellow simmers!

Been scratching my head the past days trying to get my model-matching to work with vPilot. I've tried with UTlive models, BVAI models and vPilotAI models, but no matter what i do vPilot won't recognize the aircraft. It seems like it's not able to identify that there are actual models and aircraft in the subfolders.. It can identify the aircraft that i have installed in my SimObjects-folder (all my PMDG aircraft etc.) Has anyone experienced this before? I've also tried with both the stable version of vPilot and the beta without success... See attached screenies.

Can you post screenshots of the contents of the folders that show 0 models?

I'm looking for a screenshot of the folders that shows zero models, such as the BVAI\SimObjects\Airplanes folder ... please post a screenshot of that ... the entire window, not just a section of it.

Can you send me your model scan result file? It'll be in the same folder as the vPilot.exe, and it'll be named ModelScanResult-Prepar3dV4.xml ... you can send me a PM with the URL to download it from a dropbox, google drive, etc.

Update: It seems like it picks up the actual models, but not the liveries. Flew a short hop today and it displays the models correctly, but only in white liveries.

I'm not sure why it's not finding any of the model data in the aircraft.cfg files ... can you send me one of them? Such as this one:

C:\Users\Anders Loberg\Docomeents\Prepar3D v4 Add-ons\BVAI\SimObjects\Airplanes\BVA_C172\aircraft.cfg

The file looks fine ... exactly the same as the one from my own installation of BVAI.

I'm not sure why vPilot isn't able to read the files ... maybe a permissions issue? Have you tried running vPilot as an administrator?

Note that you will need to go into the model matching settings and press the Rescan button to trigger a new scan.

Yeah i've tried it all... Can't wrap my mind around what the issue can be. I've sort of found a fix tho. Whenever i move all the BVAI aircraft in my Simobjects/Airplanes folder in my P3D installation, it recognizes all the models. But i don't really have the harddrive capacity to have it there... So it seems like there is some kind of config or something that blocks P3D/vPilot from reading the models/liveries externally.

Maybe check the permissions on the folder that they are in?

Maybe a long shot but is your BVAI folder showing in your add-on XML?

It must be, because that's how vPilot finds add-on folders.
