Hey lads,

I was wondering if anyone knows what the longest connection without being kicked from the network is? I know one of the VATPRC guys had 80 hours on some position so just wondering if anyone knows the longest so far.

Cheers,

Bailey

I'd be more interested in knowing that there were controllers that provided excellent service for as long as their service was excellent, and then disconnected and got some rest instead of "longest hours connected" providing no service or poor service...

If you're there and able to provide service - why should you be kicked off the network?

However, you will raise some eyebrows after a while. If I recall correctly the case you're called is one of the longest..

From experience trying to control after staying awake for 22+ hours is a horrible idea. You get to a point where you think thank the lord STAR's take aircraft to the ILS and no vectoring.

another way to look at it, do you as a controller want a bunch of pilots that have been up for hours on end trying to fly or would you prefer the pilot that logs off and gets some shut eye so they are coherent at TOD?
