Newby here, wanting to get it right the first time. Requesting correct positioning of software in computer or Xplane folders.

From the docomeentation:

Once you unzip the archive, drag the ENTIRE folder "XSquawkBox" into your X-Plane/Resources/plugins folder.

I highly suggest you read the docomeentation - it's included in the Docs folder of XSB.
