Position Vacancy: Manager, Standards

 

What you will be doing:

• -Maintain effective communication will the Director of Hong Kong VACC and other staff members on the most recent procedure updates
  -Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as the latest Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) becomes available. In addition, provide proposals to update Letters of Agreement (LOA) with neighbouring facilities according to the latest AIP updates.
  -Manage and coordinate usage of frequencies, callsigns, squawk range with neighbouring vACCs and divisions
  -Closely collaborate with Manager (Training) to update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in accordance to the Hong Kong AIP and Macau AIP.

 

And to qualify:

• -Currently holding a controller rating of C1 or above and having a good disciplinary record on VATSIM.
  -Familiar with the administrative structure of Hong Kong VACC and the operation of Hong Kong VACC.
  -Committed to maintain a strong presence on VATSIM while holding the position. It is expected that the appointee of this position will spend at least an hour a week on average performing work for this position.
  -Previous leadership experience, within VATSIM or in real world, is an [Mod - Happy Thoughts]et.
  -Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both internally and externally, including on various VATSIM platforms and social media.
  -Proficiency in English is a must as it is the working language of the VACC. Proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese) is considered a plus.
  -Ability to meet the requirements specified in Hong Kong VACC Facility General Policy (HKVACC-P001)
