Hi guys,

For some reason, quite randomly, whilst trying to log in to VATSIM via Squawkbox4 as usual, I am constantly getting connection refused, and there is no servers list... I have changed nothing from a few days ago when I last flew online...

Any info/help as to why this may be happening is much appreciated.

Cheers

vPilot only has a list of servers which I guess is pulling from one of them?

I found out I cannot connect to any of the European servers but it did connect to the US servers...

That was last night, I will try again tonight.

I am getting this issue too but for all servers and sometimes connection timed out... How do I connect to the new IP? I am using FS9. Greatly appreciated.

When connecting with SB type in the numbers in the field "server". It's the upper list field with some predefined servers.

Chris,

Firstly please watch your language. I have removed the offending part. Please remember we have people from all ages and walks of life here.

Secondly, the error message should have been a great hint. The server you were trying has been retired. Why not choose another one?

Does anyone know if vPilot updates the server list automatically? Would I see the new UK server as an option now for example?

It should do George. If it doesn't you would be advised that a cached list is being used.

Thanks for the reply, I would like to do a flight when I'm back from work tonight (still picking my jaw off the floor after looking at the latest previews MS published from MSFS 2020...

If the list is cached, is there a command to force it to refresh by the way?

vPilot automatically fetches the current server list when it first starts up. It will only use the previously-cached list if something causes the server list download to fail. Therefore, there is no need for a command to manually refresh the list.

I'm also having issues. Using Squawkbox FS2004.

Works for me. The part where SB4 is fetching information from VATSIM at startup took a bit longer than usual, but I then just copy-pasted the IP of a random server (Singapore, in my case) before connecting to VATSIM.

Yes it was similar to that. I had to paste one of the current servers. Apparently neither squawkbox not fsinn are picking up the updated server list.

But in the end it worked that's what important

Have you tried swift with FS9? There seem to be some teething problems, but the more testers we have, the better.
