This seems to be more a "how do I VATSIM" question. Answer -- VAT-Spy, VATtastic, or whatever variation of the "controllers online now" list exists in whichever Pilot Client you're using. There's some good reading for new pilots here (https://www.vatsim.net/pilot-resource-centre) that you should spend some time with before getting too much deeper.
