What do you mean by "closes itself often". Is the xPilot application itself exiting completely, or just minimizing? If the latter, did you perhaps set the "xPilot: Toggle Main UI Client" shortcut option in the keyboard/joystick bindings? Please look in your xPilot app directory (by default, it's installed in %localappdata%\xPilot) and if there's a GlobalExceptions.txt file, please upload it (or copy and paste its contents) here.
