I was using 2000 and SB, no problems. Last w/e installed 2002, uninstalled SB, restarted then re-installed SB and SBHost. Also installed BAVACARS and BAV OSP. Can connect to BAV no probs, cannot get anywhere with SB; no message, no nothing, just comes up with the grey Host box. I've enabled port forwarding on my DSL-604T router for following ports; TCP 47624,6073 and 2300-2400 TCP 6809 HELP!! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Check PRC exactly for FS2004, and se Troubleshooting at http://forums.vatsim.net/viewtopic.php?p=2262#2262 for ports etc. > just comes up with the grey Host box. Are you sure that you host a MP Session in FS2002 before starting SBhost.exe and SB itself? That's the main difference between FS2002 an FS9 (in FS9 you have to join the SBrelay session). Then, did you replace the ipaddr.txt file in the squawkbox directory with a recent version? The one that ships with the SB installtion is totally outdated. The content of the ipaddr.txt in the SB directory should look like this: 152.104.96.225 ASIA-S 200.223.140.250 BRAZIL-C 137.56.244.9 EUROPE-C 212.47.22.26 EUROPE-CE 212.112.234.46 EUROPE-CW 195.205.20.162 EUROPE-E1 195.78.48.15 EUROPE-E2 212.205.81.22 EUROPE-SE 213.194.111.99 TURKEY 80.249.98.88 UK-1 66.98.168.65 USA-S1 66.221.192.84 USA-S3 208.224.174.24 USA-SE 216.93.170.44 USA-W Here's what I do: 1) fire up FS2002 2) in the FS2002 menue: Flights->Multiplayer->Connect 3) type in something in "playername", select TCP/IP in "Protocol list", uncheck "join as observer" if it's checked, leave anything else blank and click on host 4) type in something in "session name" set "max pilot" and "max observers" to 16, leave anything else blank and click on OK 5) start sbhost.exe (or if you have the hostsb.dll in the modules directory do Modules->hostsb->run) 6) Start SB 7) type in something in playername and select as connection type: Internet TCP/IP connection for direct play and click OK click on "start search" 9) leave the IP adress blank or fill in 127.0.0.1 or localhost and click on OK 10) the name of the session you created in step 4 should now appear, click on "Join" 11) the splashscreen of the SB will appear in the sBhost window and you can click on the button at the bottom to get in to the action. 12) right-click and set Squawk standby 13) right-click, ATC Functions->Change callsign 14) start AVC.exe and type in exactely the same call sign you entered in 13) then minimize avc 15) right-click, ATC Functions->File Flightplan If you prefiled your flight through the web, you must choose the correct aircraft type in that portion because although the controllers know that you are a B744, other pilot's will only see you as what you have choosen in your SB Flightplan. If you didn't prefile, fill out the FP completely 16) rightclick -> connect. Choose a server near your home location, make sure "use roger wilco" is checked and connect. 17) if you did not prefile your flight, then choose right-click->resend flightplan.
