ES running poorly on Windows 10

Hi guys. I use EuroScope for controlling and on Windows 10 (installed on a Samsung 970 Evo NVMe 500GB SSD) it runs bad.. Very fresh install coz the SSD is new still.

When I use it on Windows 8 installed on a HDD (installed only for EuroScope) it runs very good without any fps problems.

Is there something I have to do on my Windows 10?

Kind regards,

Did you install it on the same partition as Windows 10, namely C:\?

Remove it and install it on another partition. It's always good practice to install these programs outside the partition of Windows.

I will try and come back. Thx 😄

Edit: Can i also change EuroScope user file folder from Documents to an other drive?

I do not know, never tried this. I keep all my relevant stuff (sector files etc.) in Documents.

I have brought this up in the past and I have talked to Gergely about it. Unfortunately Euro scope doesn't have advanced graphics processing to help it out with rendering. The stuff I was suggested to do was lower my vis range, unload plugins and that's it. But even with that and today's traffic levels, Euroscope is still laggy. It would be lovely if Euroscope could get an update with performance.

I already checked this. By default (HvACC sector), FP is not in N mode and m_ShowUnconcernedInFpList is set on 0.

Okay, maybe we should get some more details on how you define "runs poorly".

It simple really, If you load up a small sector such as U.A.E FIR (OMAE) with minimal sector data plugins and during busy events (Happened during Cross the Land), disabling the flight plan list "N" node still doesn't help. We are talking about lag when panning around, lag on refresh rate and Euroscope crashing with minimal traffic. This happened while controlling Paris (LFFF), Gulf Control (GULF) and Bahrain (OBBB).

I haven't seen any change, it's still laggy when moving around.

I have a good gaming PC so I doubt my computer is the problem here.

Too bad. What version of ES exactly are you using?

I tried every version, even the early ones. 3.0, 3.1, 3.2 and even the latest beta. Still no change...

Euroscope really needs a stability update with these traffic levels, its starting to irritate me when you can't control properly because the client just can't handle it.

After a few weeks and finally updated my PC, Euroscope runs a bit better, but still it kind of lags.

It can be nice if a performance (HW acceleration) update is released though.

Hey, I have the same issue with ES. I experience lag when panning around after ~30 minutes, as well as slower refresh rates.
It's really strange because my PC is quite powerful and ES should run just fine. Do you guys still have that problem?

Greetings,
MB

Update:
Since I am part of ROvACC I asked them for advice. They recommended me to turn off the "N" in the Flight Plan List, which improved my performance significantly. Now I don't have any problems with EuroScope version 3.2.
I hope this tip helps and improves your performance
