Is SIMCONNECT already a part of flight simulator 2020. I was just watching a live stream on youtube of someone who had an application that was called self loading cargo. the streamer said you need simconnect in order to run it. the more research i am doing it seems that you need simconnect for vatsim also. I downloaded vatsim with no issues and not installing simconnect. Maybe flight sim already comes with it? would love some more info about it.

Yes, SimConnect is built into the sim, just like it is with FSX and P3D. You used to have to install the SimConnect client library in some cases, but I am now including it with vPilot, so that's no longer necessary.

Note that there is a bug in MSFS simconnect that causes bad frame rate loss and stuttering if you have vPilot (or similar SimConnect apps) running. They will have a fix for it within the next few days.

Ross,

I had a similar experience the other night using vpilot.  My sim install (and vpilot) are fully updated.  I'm assuming the problem has been addressed in the sim by now.  Have you heard anything new on this?

I haven't heard anything about a new frame rate issue, no.
