HI EVERYONE THIS IS MY FIRST DAY HERE AND I WAS CURIOUS ON HOW I GET STARTED. IVE BEEN TRYING TO GET UP AND FLYING BUT THERE ARE TO MANY CONFUSSING THINGS. FIRST I READ THAT I NEEDED SOME TYPE OF HEADPHONE AND A BUNCH OF OTHER STUFF. I ALSO WENT ONTO A PLACE IN THIS WEB SIT WHERE IT TOLD ME A IP ADDRESS SO I ENTERED IT INTO THE MULTIPLAYER IP AND PRESSED SEARCH. AFTER THAT NOTHING HAPPENED. SO IF SOMEONE WOULD BE SO KIND AND GIVE ME A FEW POINTERS IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRICIATED. THANK YOU!!!

First, turn off ALL CAPS.

This is the VATSIM Pilot Resource Center (PRC). It has the answers to all of your questions, even the ones you have not thought of yet. You must join the PRC. Use your VATSIM issued ID but pick a new P[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word (in other words, don't use your VATSIM p[Mod - Happy Thoughts]word).

 

Please spend a few minutes reading through the tutorials. The PRC gives you step-by-step instructions on what software you need, how to set it up and how to get online. A little time spent here will save you A LOT of time and headaches.

You don't need headphone, it's an option. You can use TEXT until you decide you want the headphones.

All Vatsim enjoy and software is free. You need only you PC, e.g. FS2004, Internet connection at least 56k.

 

Primary you follow the PRC with care, as Tanner Fraenzl say. It works close to 100%.

Since PRC installation don't work 100% for everybody.
