Automatic Delivery Clearance?

Hi,

I was flying out of LL this morning, under the superb control of LON_CTR (Fraser, I think it was), I think I heard him make a broadcast on frequency about automatic clearances are available .....EGTT.....

I didn't get it all, but I wondered what it is? An alternative to calling for clearance?

PDC maybe? A pre-departure clearance which doesn't requires voice communication to obtain

clearance would be PDC through the Hoppie network and perhaps also CPDLC services through Hoppie for aircraft above the minimum level to operate cpdlc.

OK thanks, if it's a Hoppie thing, that's something I don't use.

Thanks Andreas, that is something I will have to look into, certainly useful at a busy Heathrow when poor LON_CTR is doing everything! 🙂

Btw. here you can see how PDC looks like on VATSIM:

Doesnt nessacerlly have to be via Hoppies, if you have an alias file you can PDC via PM with a dot command. This is what VATSYS does, really handy when running enroute with a couple of clicks I can send a PDC as soon as the pilot files a flight plan.
