Event Name - Crossmas

Start Time  - 1200z

End Time - 2200z

Short DescriptionVATSIM UK is excited to announce our latest event as part of our Long Haul Series - join us on the 19th of December for Crossmas! We've teamed up with VATeir, Gander Oceanic, and VATCAN to bring you this Heathrow-Toronto Christmas getaway. Flight booking details will be released soon.

Long Description:

VATSIM UK is excited to announce Crossmas, another event brought to you as part of our ongoing Long Haul Series. When we ran a poll before this summers Miami Vice event, Toronto featured highly as a destination our members wanted to fly into - what better time to visit than the Christmas holidays? As before, you can expect full ATC from startup to shutdown, including Atlantic coverage from our Shanwick controllers joined by those from Gander Oceanic.

The event will take place on the 19th of December, departing Heathrow between 1200-1400z for the approximately 8 hour flight to Toronto.

Pilot Bookings

As before, we will be utilising the VATSIM UK Events Hub to allow members to book a departure slot. The system will go live here on the 28th of November at 1800z. You will receive one of two pre planned routes and NAT Tracks and have priority over other non-event traffic provided you are ready to push by your booked time. Make sure to follow VATSIM UK on Facebook and Twitter to be reminded of when the bookings go live!

Event Briefing

An event briefing will be made available closer to the time of the event. It is vital that all pilots with or without a slot read the briefing to avoid any undue delays. The pilot guide will also contain information on Oceanic procedures for those of you who haven't flown across the Atlantic with ATC before. Again, make sure to follow us on Social Media to be informed of the pilot guide release!
