Greetings from Turkey!

 

First of all we hope everyone is in good health and had a great Christmas holiday. 

Turkish vACC – TRvACC is seeking a Web Services Director. The Web Services director will be responsible for maintaining and managing TRvACC technical infrastructure such as website, forums, discord etc.

Requirements:

-          Thorough knowledge of PHP 7 or newer, MySQL/SQLite databases, and Git & GitHub (including branching, merging, pull requests)

-          Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap with basic knowledge of Javascript

-          Proficiency with server side languages such as PHP(e.g. Codeigniter and/or Laravel)

-          Familiar with JSON, AJAX, & REST APIs

-          Knowledge of utilizing CLI and managing an Pardus server

-          Ability to effectively lead in a team environment

-          Candidate will be required to transfer to the Turkish vACC if not already a Turkish vACC home controller

-          significant time commitment each month

-          ATC rating of S2 or higher not mandatory but will be beneficial

-          Previous staff experience within VATSIM not mandatory but will be beneficial

-          Good backround in VATSIM

 

 

Responsibilities of the TRvACC Web Services Director:

 

-          Responsible for all operations associated with the TRvACC  Technical Infrastructure

-          Responsible for expanding the web services team if required

-          Monitors the day-to-day status of TRvACC Technical Infrastructure

-          Assists in the development and execution of vACC Projects technically

-          Maintains an online presence on the TRvACC Discord

-          Keeps TRvACC technical infrastructure inline with related policies

-          Attends periodic meetings to report on the status of TRvACC information systems and projects

-          Actively control (if applicable)

We are happy to announce that @Alperen Sonad 1136566 has been appointed as Turkish vACC Web Services Director.

Alperen comes with great deal of experience on the web services side of our virtual aviation hobby having served in this position previously at  Turkish vACC.
